Brothers

The time has come

To disarm

And open your arms

Seek an armistice

For the war within

Come home to your hearts

They have long been yearning your arrival

The power you errantly seek

Outside yourself

The mastery of yourself

The missiles trained upon

Adversaries real and imagined

Can be dismantled 

Once you dare to embrace your own vulnerability

And foster from within yourself

The qualities of your divinity

Wisdom, courage, love and compassion

You must surrender to the futility

Of change forced upon others

And focus your energy and attention

On being the change

Exchange conditioned one-upmanship 

And give men 

A hand up (one by one)

Nobody gets left behind

Convinced from within

And with every fibre of your being

That all is well

Will make the world safe for everyone

A reverence for all life

Beginning with your own

Will make obsolete

Mindsets of domination and destruction

Look no further 

Than the image in the mirror

For both
