A Love Story

A wind tossed day along the shoreline
Echoed in the ebb & flow
The breath of the elders
A song carried upon eagle’s wing and gull’s cry
Celebratory stories of the Salish Sea
The crags of the bluff face echo their timeless voices
And rising from submarine outcroppings
Empty yourself and listen
Not in order to respond
But to hear
Bring only your silence
Allow an open heart to receive
The teaching of a culture lost – but not forgotten
Where Father sky and Mother earth converge
And harmonize upon the seascape
Witness the Creators voice
As it stirs the memory of your connection
To all that is
As pulses race – hear the beat of the drum
Continued life dependent on it’s untainted rhythms
A diverse kinship hangs in the balance
And we are “thy brother’s keeper”
Humility and reverence both

Reveal – the enemy lies within!
