Mind Games

If one takes time to contemplate
With what, young minds we educate
We might think twice –even abate
Do we heighten minds or desecrate?

The “techies” coin - trash in trash out
Same effect on minds is viewed with doubt
Win at all costs hear our leaders shout
As we follow them to a spiritual drought

Youth are our future it is said
Should we then be concerned many aren’t fed
The next Gandhi, or King may be just ahead
Or they may be killed in pointless wars instead

Heard said we create the world that we see
Status quo remains as long as we agree
For a view through windows minus debris
Look upon the earth from bended knee

Indifference a scalpel making an incision
Further entrenching walls of division
Enough minds willing to make the decision
Might result in world seen as a whole new vision
