Oh blessed are you Mother Earth
You sustain us from our day of birth
The time has come – nay overdue
Abuse of you must stop it’s true
Your care by many is forsaken
Before too late we need awaken
We have been reckless without pause
A halt to this a sacred cause
Production quotas we push to meet
The planet consumed from beneath our feet
If native wisdom finally was sought
Reverence of nature – would be taught
Through Spirit we could learn compassion
Forget obsession with latest fashion
The Laws of Nature require respect
To make a difference – serve & protect
If our behaviour goes uncorrected
Cause & effect can be expected
Our exploitation may be reflected
When humans find themselves rejected
All sides of science – we’ve heard their speech
A consensus they have failed to reach
The point of view they’ve failed to see
Is to live with some humility
The answer’s there for those who seek
Though oft suggested “it’s for the weak
An effort first to forgo pride
Next quiet the mind and go inside
Once we assume our proper place
And awaken to your awesome grace
Include love & service, Life fully embrace
No higher calling for the Human Race
